What you’ll learn
How to read notes on the staff and find them on the neck, count rhythms, understand key signatures and intervals, and recognize the markings most common in electric guitar scores: downstrokes and upstrokes, bends, vibrato and slides. The goal is to open a simple score and play it slowly, without memorizing it first.
How the electric guitar fits in
The electric guitar uses the same staff and the same standard tuning as the acoustic guitar, so every note sits in the same place on the neck. What changes is the sound and the tips: the examples play with a clean electric tone, and the practice tasks use alternate picking instead of right-hand fingers.
How it works
There are 14 short missions, 8 to 15 minutes each, with a quick check at the end of every one. The Practice page has games for daily training: find notes, hear rhythms, count intervals and decode key signatures. Everything is free with no sign-up, and your progress stays in your browser.
